Star race car Lightning McQueen and his pal Mater head overseas to compete in the World Grand Prix race. But the road to the championship becomes rocky as Mater gets caught up in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.
Ignition Interactive was approached by Disney to build a robust digital ad campaign for the sequel to one the largest Pixar film franchises. Cars 2 was taking the Cars world to a whole new level of action. Our challenge was to capture that action and adventure of the international travel through the World Grand Prix. As well as reintroducing the original characters while introducing a whole new lot of characters.
As the Art Director and Designer it was my job to set a direction for the campaign and produced to initial designs and animations for the team to work from. I was also responsible for managing the creative and dev team through the duration of the project.
